Invitation Team
During the months of May, June & July a team of people, including myself, will be personally walking into Southern Maryland's many Resources, Churches, Ministries, Food Pantries, and more. to personally invite these resources to set up their resource tent at this community changing event.
Coordinating Team
We need volunteers for a team of creative thinkers or who will help design and coordinate the many resources attending this event. It will mostly require follow up phone calls and designing the park map, so that when our resource guests arrive they will know ahead of time where to set up, parking and know where to go with questions.
Parking Team
We need volunteers who will coordinate parking the day of the event. We will have an area for our invited Resource guests to park which is separate from the general public parking. We are also asking for local bus/shuttle help that will help control overflow parking. We have already been in contact with the Sheriffs department for their help.
Welcoming Team
We need some energized volunteers to greet, direct, assist and welcome our resource guests, along with the public guests, as they enter the event. There will be a booth dedicated to this team with maps, handouts, and more, to give out. This team is crucial because you will be the first welcoming faces everyone gets to see.
Music Team
We need volunteers who will coordinate the line up of music for the day. We will be seeking local artists, praise teams, and even some out of town artists. This team will be making phone calls and working alongside the coordination team, welcoming team and the Host for the event on details, needs and be available the day of the event to navigate.
Guest SpeakersTeam
We need volunteers who will coordinate the line up of Guest Speakers for the day. We will be seeking local and out of town Guest Speakers who will speak on a wide range of subjects regarding mental health and family help for our community. This team will be making phone calls and working alongside the coordination team, welcoming team and the Host for the event on details, needs and be available the day of the event to navigate.
